If you want to be successful within a society, you must understand and respect the normality within that society in some way. Common inhibited behaviors within a society change quite frequently and while some people may remain on track to understanding such common behaviors, others may not. Generally, those who spend time and energy to understand and comprehend normal behaviors within a society feel the need to impress someone or something. There is a common practice within society which I intend to call "Monkey Sees, Monkey Do", this practice is important when trying to impress someone because that person wants to fit in, so they will adapt their ideas to do so. This is not a contemporary practice; it has been done historically, however understanding why certain things happen within society or what is praised within society can create problems. Common issues that have become normal behaviors within society include the evolution of technology along with smartphones and the unrecognized dangers they may pose. The evolution of technology has overtaken our society to have a better understanding and access to information, help treat and help patients more quickly and effectively, and greatly improve communication with others. With the growth of technology it has enabled the growth of available information and advanced ways of communication. The initial intention of computers and technology was to serve the working or business class, to help companies create better products for their consumers. Subsequently, tools that previously only served to facilitate businesses began to become more domestic, little by little people and families began to own desktop computers in their homes. Innovating the...... middle of paper...... while under the influence is faster than texting while driving, which means texting while driving is more fatal than driving under the 'effect of alcohol or drugs' (LeBeau). Normal phone use has its negative risks such as serious injury or death; therefore they must not be used while driving. While people believe they will be fine by responding to that “important” message while they are driving, they are also putting not only themselves at risk but also anyone who may be within 100 meters of them. According to the interactionist perspective, something as unimportant as a phone call, a text message, or even the phone itself, should not be the cost of a life. Works Cited LeBeau, P. . .
