When we hear one, we will remember others. Muhammad was born in the Arabian Peninsula and grew up there and saw many hardships there. He lost her father before she even saw him, then he lost his mother when he was about six, and then he lost his grandfather when he was a baby. Later his uncle Abu Talib was responsible for taking care of him. Because Abu Talib was poor, Muhammad had to be a shepherd in the arid and burning deserts of Arabia. After becoming a prophet at the age of forty, he changed many things in Arabia. Before Islam the situation of the Arabs was not good. People lived in many tribes. Relations between the tribes were not good. They have had many wars and conflicts. The situation of women was appalling and female infanticide was common. Women had no right to decide or do anything and societies were patriarchal. Slavery and servitude were also common. When Muhammad became a prophet, he changed many things. He removed slavery and serfdom, united tribes, and raised the status of women. He spread Islam to the Arabian Peninsula and many other places. The most important things that allowed the spread of Islam were the unique teaching, religious law, trade (route), battles and conquests that occurred in the time of Muhammad and after him (Hitti, Phillip K “The Arabs: a brief history” Gateway Editions 1970 P30). A characteristic of Islam was the unique teaching that attracted many people from many places. In some observations Islam was the religion and Islam t...... middle of paper...... of Mecca. In many wars and conquests Muslims were the victorious. These victors showed the power of Muslims to other tribes and accepted Islam. Like these, Islam spread the area to gain more victories and expanded the area for itself.
