Topic > Glomerular Filtration Rate and Chronic Kidney Disease…

The strengths of the study were the educational topics on the importance of eGFR and CKD management. The fact that this study showed that there was indeed a continuation of late referrals to nephrologists could help address further issues. The set-up principles and risks discussed were also important. Another strength was that a pre- and post-survey was conducted; with education between surveys. The weakness of the school training was the lack of real case studies and GPs thought that the lessons should be given by nephrologists and not by colleagues. The ability of PCPs to participate in both dinner and lunch was a weakness. Another weakness of the research was that it did not discuss all the questions in the survey and how they were answered. It would have been helpful to see those results. Significance of the Study on the Selected Topic This study helps with the selected topic, the relationship between NP training and referral times to nephrologists. It provides information on how to conduct the investigation, both pre and post. Shows the methods of conducting the teaching phases. This shows that PCPs believed that case studies could be the way to teach this information. PCPs believed that case studies were a way to learn the material. This study also demonstrated that having nephrologists actually speak or conduct the training could be the way to present the material. In conclusion, the format of this research project can be used in the selected research project with some minor modifications.#2AuthorTo understand the education received among physicians a literature review was conducted on the article titled Perception of Indications for Nephrology Referral between I ......half of the article ......information on indications for referral to nephrology among internal medicine residents: a national online survey.
