It's almost hard to believe that they couldn't find a stable, well-paying job. However, it doesn't have to be as easy as it seems. One thing that amazes me is the ability of these people to remain positive in the most difficult moments. Many families in society who are not struggling take things for granted and do not stay positive when little things don't go their way. It could be identified as a stereotype, but I think most people would recognize it if they paid close attention. One of the families in particular in the documentary had an extremely impressive attitude. His father was a pastor in a small church. The faith they have shown in their struggles is absolutely incredible. Being able to go through life with almost nothing to offer your children, and with a positive attitude and strong faith at the same time is something that everyone in society should aspire to. One thing the mother of this family said was, “fake it until you make it.” In a sense this is true, but I don't think they were necessarily "fake". They simply had strong, positive attitudes and a great deal of optimism that helped them overcome their crisis
