Topic > Causes and Disadvantages of Cyberbullying - 809

Talk to your children often about their online activities and Internet etiquette in general. Set clear expectations for responsible online conduct and cell phone use. Clarify the consequences of violating these expectations. Be explicit about the risks of cyberbullying and their need to tell you if someone is harassing them or if something makes them feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. Understanding the warning signs can help parents prevent their children from becoming prey to bullying or help them not take part in the bullying. Therapy and intervention are two good methods to help treat a child who is exhibiting symptoms of bullying. References Kowalski, Robin M., Limber, Susan P. and Agatston, Patricia W..
