Woodard explains to his readers this "cultural cold war" and the clash of cultures that is occurring within nations. He calls it an “internal civil war” that has driven people to the point of physical violence. So now, not only are we as a nation still struggling overall with these essential freedoms, but our individual pockets of people are also starting to crumble and disintegrate.
