In the book “The Next 100 Years” written by George Friedman, Friedman predicts the major geopolitical events of the 21st century. Friedman also hypothesizes about changes in technology, economics, and culture in the book. While George Friedman predicts the 21st century for many countries, I chose to focus my reading on the future of the Turkish Empire. George Friedman predicts many amazing facts in the book that one could never see coming in today's world. In the book, George Friedman predicts that Turkey will expand its domain of influence and become a great power, just as it was during the Ottoman period. Empire. George Friedman explains that Turkey expands its sphere into the Arab world, which, as he explains at the beginning of the book, will by then gradually have split and move north into Russia and the former Soviet Union. Friedman believes that Israel will continue to be a powerful nation and will remain outside of Turkish rule. However, things won't stay that way for long. Friedman explains that Israel will eventually be forced into a deal with Turkey. Friedman also believes that the "Polish bloc", which holds a large military force, will expand its economic impact into what was once European Russia, and that it will compete with Turkey for influence. in the important economic region of the Volga River Valley, the longest river in Europe in terms of flow and watershed. Friedman also predicts that the United States will initially be allies with all three powers, but will slowly become opponents of both the new Turkish and Japanese empires, which will rise in power in the 2020s and 2030s and begin to threaten American interests. He states that Japan and Turkey are likely to form an alliance towards the end... middle of the paper... the two countries and the chances of a third world war become much more likely. According to reports on Turkey's current military status, the nation's leadership is now working on a bill that empowers them to rewrite the Turkish Constitution, giving them much more extensive powers over military and governmental aspects. In conclusion, Turkey will continue to see progressive achievements, both military and economic, and growth in the coming decades. Articles and reports do not show that Turkey will slow down in the immediate future. Although Turkey has its weaknesses, it is a strong nation that has emerged over the past 10 years and will continue to overcome its weaknesses and show steady growth. All this is demonstrated by George Freidman's predictions in "The Next 100 Years", when he predicts that Turkey will be one of the most important nations of the 21st century..
