Furthermore, women have played a role in American history for centuries, but many of them have not been recognized for their achievements. Therefore, it was time for women to stand up for themselves and gain the rights and freedoms they deserved. To establish a foundation for achieving equal rights, women began as advocates for causes and then incorporated their rights while in the advocacy movement.
