“Year after year, twenty-somethings and women come to New York in search of the two Ls: labels and love” is the very catchy line that opens the film with 'Labels or' by Fergie Love ' as the soundtrack and The Big Apple as the introductory scene. The scale deduced from the bird's eye perspective of New York City, showing its metropolitan atmosphere with skyscrapers and the famous Brooklyn Bridge; to the inhabitants of the City; then to the main actors of the film. A fifteen-year-old girl watches the film, mesmerizing the ecstatic city as she admires the women's thin, white bodies. And last but never forgotten, he gets carried away by the funky, upbeat beat of the song that emphasizes "Gucci, Fendi, [and] Prada. . ." This is the introduction of Sex and the City and the core of its cinematography. With its elements, the film can honestly influence teenage girls. Yet, as much as critics like Maya Gordon of Psychology of Women Quarterly say how the media contributes to 'sexual objectification and value women "based on their appearance", this film should be an exemption. This is the Information generation Technology. Danger is around the corner, where a click of the mouse or a remote control and all the sex-related rubbish can come out of the monitor. In truth, a vulnerable teenager can easily get lost in temptation with the way these sweet girls feel about how horrible their body shapes are, how ugly their faces are, and how fashion brands seem to be worth more than anything else in the world. Fashion labels, tiny bodies and sexual activities are all features of Sex and the City. From the center of the card women and individuality, fashion sense and passion in a sexual act distinguish it from being sexually objectifying. Likewise, this type of film also needs a higher cognitive ability that can reason and reflect on the difficult features of the whole picture. Overall, the setting of New York City and the opening credits of the rapid transition between dawn and dusk represent how different people are now and how this generation is changing faster than we can imagine. So, with time passing and the population growing, it is no longer useful to evaluate others but our own. We are what we made ourselves to be. If we want our relatives to become responsible and mature adults, we are their guides. Works Cited Sex and the City. Director Michael Patrick King. Perf.
