DescriptionSolar powered smartphone would be a great invention for all people. Smartphones are very useful in our generation, but only one thing; why can't the battery last longer? With all the distractions on phones, from games to email, phone batteries don't stand a chance. This is why solar powered smartphone would be a very useful device to keep our busy generation going. Current Technology According to inhabitat.com, in 2009, Samsung released a solar-powered cell phone called the Blue Earth Phone. The Blue Earth Phone included a solar panel placed on the back of the phone, a touch screen, and many features. Solar panels exist around the world in many shapes and sizes. “Bell Laboratories employee Gerald Pearson made a solar cell with silicon instead of selenium. The solar cell was finally ready to be put into operation” (www.solarpowerbeginner.com). Once the solar cell was ready, panels were inserted to carry energy and thus the solar panel was born. In recent times we have solar panels that produce electricity for your home, traffic lights and many other useful products. A solar panel placed in a phone doesn't seem very normal at a time like this, but they are out there and they exist. We are trying to make the product better and more efficient for everyday use. The most difficult part of producing a product like ours is the technology. Technology will continue to improve. But will it be our product? This is the question. It's hard to have an amazing idea like a solar-powered smartphone but keep it up to date with the rest of the surrounding technology. With the right companies and suppliers, this product has the ability to change everything.HistoryIn the year 1767 the Swiss scientist Horace-Benedi......middle of paper......artphone. It was perfect; less charging, transmittable energy and all in all a good product. All the other ideas had serious problems. Our final idea actually seemed reasonable and possible to create and produce. Consequences If a solar-powered smartphone were produced, there would be many positive aspects but also many negative aspects. Smartphones are very useful in an era like the one we find ourselves in. If a solar-powered smartphone were created, so much more could be done in the world. You wouldn't have done it. Plus, if you had a solar-powered smartphone, your electric bill would likely be lower than someone who doesn't have one. If technology becomes too reliable a source, it can be harmful. If this happens, past uses of the technology will become obsolete and become a backup plan. Technology has the power to take over our lives. If this happens, there is no going back.
