Teens all over the world can connect with each other by using the Internet to communicate through social media. Talking to people you don't really know is a bad thing because they are complete strangers. I think we shouldn't encourage our kids to join social networking communities because they may have difficulty resuming face-to-face conversations by not spending time bonding face-to-face. There are some benefits of social networking communities, one of them is making new friends. Most people in the United States use the Internet to meet new people and communicate. You never know the person who is on the other side of the screen you are on and you don't really know what other people on the Internet are capable of, there are real hackers out there who can also collect your information somehow. I've been DDosed (Denial of Service) by other people on the Internet before and I didn't even know what was happening or why it was happening to me. This is because teenagers feel comfortable and think they can do and say whatever they want. Another problem I see in social networking communities is violence against teens on social media. There are many fights that teenage boys post on social media that you can watch and some uploaded videos may even be posted by someone you know but they may choose to create a fake profile and remain anonymous.
