Matt BerryMrs. Dexter5 May 2014Vlad the ImpalerVlad the Impaler was perhaps the most evil ruler of all time. He is known to have killed over 100,000 people. But I think maybe he could have had a reason for his reckless murder while he was in power. To know more about Vlad the Impaler you should look at his childhood, which led him to become a bloodthirsty killer. If you wanted to know more about him, you would look more into his adult life. To know more about him you should read more about his legacy and the kind of impact he left on the world. Vlad III was born in Transylvania in the year 1431. His father was a soldier of the Roman Empire. Then he was mistaken for leader of Wallachia by some local warlords and was assassinated. Vlad had two brothers, his older brother, Mircea, was tortured, blinded and buried alive. His younger brother was Radu the Handsome. When Vlad was young, his father sent him to the Ottoman Empire to study. He became a skilled knight and warrior. Some people have said that Vlad III was tortured and imprisoned during his childhood. During his childhood he had seen the Ottomans violently impale people. Vlad III's father was a leader for eight years before he was killed. He was the son of Mircea the Elder. His name was Vlad II, or Vlad Dracul. He had two wives during his reign. The name of his first wife is unknown and his second wife was Cneajna of Moldavia. Vlad the Impaler was the son of one of the mistresses. Vlad had three children by his wives and several more by his mistresses. Vlad II was the third son in his family. His older brother died in battle. Then the other elder brother died of illness and then he gained power. He lost power from 1442 to 1443 for unknown reasons. At the stern... in the center of the card... the farmers called him Dracula, which means son of a dragon. The whole concept of Dracula was taken from the life of Vlad III. Although it was never recorded as sucking people's blood from the neck. If he was tortured for the years he was in the Ottoman Empire, there would be a reason for him to kill everyone. He would get angry at the world and then take his anger out on people who were weaker than him. But because of this he would put metal bars on people's buttocks and slowly kill them. The madness would come after killing some people. If he had been tortured he would have been insecure and would not have felt safe, which would have made him nervous when he felt threatened. Since he was a ruler, he could simply eradicate the threat. He would have been like an animal trapped in a corner, scared and violent.
