Topic > the gene and our destiny - 995

It is quite difficult for anyone to understand or realize what determines our destiny. Although genes influence every aspect of human physiology, development, and adaptation, many unanswered questions remain. For example, what influences or determines my sense of who I am? What sets me apart from other people? To what extent do I determine my own destiny? Does the gene make me addicted to crime, alcoholism or drug abuse? What is the relationship between one's intelligence and one's gene? How does science inform human identity? In an attempt to answer this question, various researchers have formulated contradictory ideas in determining whether our characteristics and behaviors are primarily due to genetics or the environment in which we live. There are many issues and aspects of life that affect us on a daily basis. These aspects create different situations that lead us to determine our path and our destiny. For starters, our similarities to our parents in personality are entirely genetic, we are born with a set of genes that never change. For example, during conception two groups of genes merge into one and from that moment DNA begins to determine some characteristics we possess. For example, we all accept that genes determine eye color, height, blood type, gender, hair color, and other biological factors. But scientists have begun to explore the role of genes in our behaviors, many believe that the power of genes determines all consequences in our lives and others believe that genes do not determine everything in a person's life. Many studies have been conducted to find out whether our destiny is written in the gene or determined by circumstances. All these studies reveal that genes can determine how we behave in a certain situation... middle of paper... which can affect us both positively and negatively. Doing something constantly, perfect physical exercise makes us healthier and the more we learn, the more lifestyle or education seems to play in determining our characteristics as individuals. Lifestyle factors such as diet and exercise play a profound role in health and fitness and can offer additional benefits. Passion, determination and hard work are perhaps just as important to success as innate ability. Genes tell us a lot about who we are physically, socially and mentally, but the environment also plays a key role. We, as members of the human species, were born to change. We create our destiny ourselves despite the factors over which we have no control. So the answer to the question of whether genes determine our fate is still open. It seems that both genes and environment may be equally important in determining who we are.
