I often had in mind the idea that girls tend to look for partners who resemble their fathers, so when there were a lot of similarities between my father and now boy, I couldn't help but be in awe. Some of the similarities ranged from both having the same basketball number and the same favorite candy to having the same sense of humor and the same upbringing. While the similarities weren't surprising or out of the ordinary, at the time I thought it was crazy how similar he was to my father. Looking back, keeping the mistake in mind, the similarities are nothing more than a coincidence. For example, they are likely to have the same basketball number in high school because there is not an infinite amount of numbers to choose from. It's funny to think that similarities are due to fate or destiny, but I know that these things are just coincidence and I happened to meet someone similar to me
