The importance of education cannot be stressed enough. It is important for the development of an individual of any age. We all need education in some way. Education is the process of acquiring knowledge, learning proper conduct, or learning technical skills in a specific field. Education helps someone acquire and hone social skills, which help them interact with people in their surroundings; It makes us capable of interpreting things correctly. Every single person has something they are good at. Everyone has something to offer. And we have a responsibility to ourselves to understand what that is. Well, education is important. It's really important to have an education in today's world. Education is the fundamental element of every society and civilization and will have to be passed on to our future generations to ensure a long-lasting and prosperous existence for all and their descendants for many centuries to come, as has been done for many years. Education comes from the Latin word educate, to draw from. This is extraction from within. It is often said that "Knowledge is power". While there has always been a debate on this topic, there is no denying the importance of education. So why is education important to us? Education, when seen beyond its conventional boundaries, constitutes the very essence of all our actions. What we do is what we know and have learned, whether through instruction or observation. Our mind is always processing information or trying to analyze similarities within context that make the topic stand out or seem different. The mind definitely has the potential to learn more. We are the ones who prevent ourselves from expanding our knowledge with insecurity or other social, emotional problems… middle of paper… the purpose of education is to teach a person to be literate or in other words to read and write. Without knowing how to read, how would someone know what to order in a restaurant? Since they couldn't write, people couldn't use their cell phones because they wouldn't know what the letters mean. Mathematics and science teach the foundations for understanding life. Without these, how would a person know if the money received is correct, other than being told. According to science, people would not know what grass, trees or animals are. These things teach everyone about themselves and the world around them. Which demonstrates the fundamental purpose of what education does: teach people to be aware. By being aware, individuals can then proceed to pursue their dreams, whatever they may be. Being able to think is more productive than being told what to think, which wouldn't be possible without an education.
