This was instrumental in shaping the type of leader I am today. I achieve my goals, I achieve them and I nail them, I don't believe in giving up. When I was eight I began going with my grandmother to work on Saturdays to help her add payroll punch cards and fill out her records. She paid me ten dollars to help her for four hours. I felt fulfilled and I enjoyed helping my grandmother. Today I take my daughter to work with me when I need to finish some things before next week starts, and she helps me organize documents and is amazing at putting address labels on envelopes. She's only four years old, but I know I'm shaping her future idea of success by allowing her to help me achieve my goals. Once we complete our homework, we will go out to eat or go down the river and watch the ducks, a simple payment that will carry with us forever. Zaleznik found value in developing a person from birth by teaching him to be a leader and having a strong sense of self will help him achieve the goals he has set for himself.
