Unplugging is not something I actively seek. Growing up in the digital age has forced me to depend on technology in my daily life. If I'm writing an essay for school, it almost always has to be typed. Research for any class is primarily conducted online. Trying to get friends together for any event requires multiple apps and group chats. Personal activities have also been shifted to more digital alternatives. Books can now be read from a phone, and writing books has become less of a manual writing process and more of a typing process. Now writing is 5% a talent, 95% not getting distracted by the Internet, which is where most people spend any shred of free time.
