The average resident produces seven and a half pounds of trash every day that gets buried in landfills and waste that costs a great deal of money. Nowadays, people face no more critical problems than the need to save the weakened environment, especially in urban areas, where solid waste is dumped needlessly. It has been observed that cities do not have controlled waste disposal facilities. Every year millions of dollars are spent collecting waste, and even more is thrown away in valuable materials that could be recycled. As humanity develops new technologies and equipment, the level of waste increases every day. Since there is a huge problem with waste disposal, government representatives must help solve this problem. Efficient waste management approaches help reduce and avoid unpleasant impacts on the environment and human health, while enabling financial development and progress in people's quality of life. People don't even imagine the size and scope of their activities and the impact they have on the environment. Waste represents a major ecological problem. It seems surprising that almost all citizens of the world identify waste as a major environmental problem and yet these people continue to litter. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (2008), one American produces 250 million tons of trash per year (para. 2). There are different circumstances that depend on the different society, environmental conditions, occupation and size of each family.
