Topic > Education in Plato's Allegory of the Cave

What is reality? What does education mean for this? There are many questions about education in today's life. One of the stories, Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" is the best way to express the ideas of education in reality. Students and elders believe that education is the only way to stay in society. This is false. Only education is not useful to a student in daily life because the studies or subjects he will study will not prepare him for a challenging life, he will also need general knowledge. Mention that education is not useful in every circumstance but it is the only way on the ruins of the world. Therefore, Plato says that education is the knowledge that lasts mainly because without the real importance of the puppeteers, the education system plays a leading role in the student's life. Not only education but also parents play the role of student life as we have seen in the previous paragraph. In addition to parents and the system, a teacher who transmits knowledge is the main puppeteer because without teachers who will disseminate and acquire the knowledge. The main goal of teachers is to educate their students, but the system is the operator of everyone. If students want to explore their ideas beyond education, the value of their idea will be worthless. Today the education system is so polluted and continues to pollute students with the fear of qualifications, degrees and qualifications that everyone follows. For example, if a student wants to find a job, companies will ask him for a degree, without which they will not approve him. Likewise for tuition, students will attend college but the goal for him is just to pass the course and get a degree. People think that to get a real education you have to take a course and you shouldn't think that it is so limited for your future. Yet the education system is the only one that makes individuals dance as it wants because everything begins and stops with education. Therefore, education systems monitor every step of the student and play a role in everyday life. What is true knowledge? A knowledge that is obtained from the thinking of assorted people is true knowledge. It also means knowledge beyond educational subjects including physics, chemistry, mathematics, sociology and psychology. The goal of most students should be to acquire knowledge outside of the classroom. In class, if possible, also talk about the outside world. There are so many things that a person or student can do and explore their knowledge as the outside world does not require one to be expert in just one thing. For example, to maintain physical health there is Yoga as there are many different yoghs including parayan, also sports, cultural activities, functions, reality shows on TV like these there are millions of other sources through which a student he can acquire knowledge and become the man he likes. Also for education there are many books and novels of general knowledge. If one vows not to study and simply explore the world with the knowledge he has, then he can do his best, like Bill Gates who never went to school but is a billionaire because he thought he was doing something new. In this way, if the student does not want to study educational subjects, he should show his best in other areas of reality
