Just 26 years after the end of the brutal Civil War, the Missouri-Kansas Sports Series began. With the KU football program now in a dark place, and planning for a certain loss would not be something the administration is inclined to do. But on the other hand, KU's basketball program is regularly ranked in the top 10 and seen consistently on national television, so a game with Missouri would not be advantageous to KU as it tries to schedule with tough teams.
