I believe the peer advising center is a great resource that I hope more and more people will use so that they can learn about their options regarding specializing or minoring in psychology. I also want to get more involved in SDSU, especially in the psychology department. I'm part of the psychology club here and I'm applying to Psi Chi, so I definitely enjoy trying new things and becoming a part of the different organizations here on campus. I am very proud of my studies and everything about my education, so being a peer counselor would definitely be that extra step to gain practical experience working with people. I want this to help me navigate the path I want to take for my career and this can help me see if this is something I want to pursue working with other people. Being part of the Weber Honors College here at SDSU, I enjoy surrounding myself with highly motivated people and so this would be the perfect fit for me. I also want to get to know the faculty and staff more and hope to receive further guidance on my career path and learn from them as well as my colleagues. It will be a great way to prepare for graduation
