For the second time in 2013, the Ministry of Forestry's Directorate General of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation (PHKA) is collaborating with institutions partners, such as HarimauKita Forum, Zoological Society of London (ZSL) Indonesia, Fauna and Flora International (FFI) Indonesia and Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), conduct SMART-RBM Patrol training for Sumatran tiger habitat protection. The activities carried out in Medan from 11 to 15 November 2013, having previously been implemented in Berbak National Park, Jambi in February 2013. The training staff, Leuser National Park staff, BBKSDA North Sumatra, Aceh Provincial Forestry Office and Forestry Staff Representatives of the office staff from across the Aceh district. The Sumatran tiger is the last subspecies of tiger remaining in Indonesia, after the extinction of the Bali tiger and the Javan tiger. Currently, the Sumatran tiger population is increasingly threatened by poaching and the illegal trade in tiger parts, as well as by conflict with humans due to increasing deforestation for development interests. One of the most threatening problems for the conservation of Sumatran wildlife is the tiger poaching and encroaching habitat. In addition to the lack of human resources, infrastructure and means of support in the protected areas that should be protected, the patrolling conducted has fewer touching problems on the ground. By examining conditions on the ground, area protection patrols become a priority that should be encouraged by all parties involved in the collaborative scheme. The current collaborative cooperation has come to the effort applied to SMART (Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool) database systems which can be integrated with RBM (Resort Based Manag...... half of the paper...... one or two people.
