Best Teacher, Worst Teacher Although I have had many different types of teachers, there are two that stand out more than all the others. The first was my third and sixth grade teacher. She was the best teacher I ever had. The second was my seventh grade teacher. It was the worst I think a student could have had. Both of these teachers had very different teaching styles and very different views on teaching. To be an effective teacher, the teacher must respect the student and be willing to do what he can to help him learn all he can. In this article I will discuss the effectiveness of these two teachers and how their teaching styles differed. First of all, what is a good teacher? According to the Book of Educational Psychology, a good teacher should know his subject and be able to convey it to his students. Furthermore, they must have fun with their students and be well prepared for the lesson. Good teachers know how their students learn and make sure that every student in the class receives the best education possible. To be a good teacher I think the teacher must be energetic and motivate their students. They must be willing to work long hours for minimal pay and be true friends to their students. More than ever, students show the need to trust and respect their teacher. Only a good and effective teacher gets respect. On the other hand, a bad or ineffective teacher also has many qualities. To call a teacher bad, the teacher doesn't really have to take full advantage of their job. They don't really have to ignore their subject or care enough about students to teach them. A bad teacher never wants to work a little harder to do …… half of paper……r hand, I wouldn't want to be like my 7th grade teacher. He had no plan and never told us what we were going to do that day. It gave me another perspective on teaching. It almost made me want to never want to be a teacher. It made me feel like there was no purpose to school. The other students in my class felt the same way. I think this teacher really hurt the students and from that lesson on he never did well in school. There is a big difference between good and bad teachers. A good teacher wants to be there and wants students to learn. Bad teachers don't care if students learn that they are only there to have a job. Good teachers have a well-disciplined class. Bad teachers have no control. I hope that one day I will become an effective teacher, and I hope that one day a student will write about me as their favorite teacher.
