Why I don't have a heroWhat is a hero? Do you have to have superpowers, special abilities or incredible talents to be considered such? Well, some of us seem to think so. Then there is the everyday teacher or local figure who is considered a hero by select individuals in their community. For me a hero must have a few select qualities, and I have not met anyone who can satisfy all three. First and foremost, a hero must be good at heart. A hero must know how to give and receive accordingly. When it is necessary for him/her to make a great sacrifice to help the community, his/her closest friends or even his/her greatest enemies, he/she must know that it is okay to make that sacrifice and know that he/she did the right thing. That person has to go too. go out and make a difference in their community and need no other motivation than the good feeling they get when they have made a positive impact on the few people they have met and helped. A person who is to be considered a hero must be naturally good, work for good and be there when he is needed most. They should not feel guilty about the negative effects of something they have done if the good it causes outweighs the bad. Honesty is a good trait to have if you want to be a hero.
