A young man named Jay, 25 years old, is walking down the street, his father has lost his job, his mother is very ill. A van pulls up next to this young man and the driver says to him, "I've got a great way for you to make good money, are you in?" Social rules require the young man to refuse and leave, but he is desperate, he wants his mother to heal, so he accepts. This decision will change his whole life. Because the man driving the van is the leader of a gang and, with Jay's agreement, participates in Continued Criminal Enterprise. Continuous criminal enterprise is a legal term to describe organized criminal groups, such as gangs and mafias. This gives him 20 years, despite it being his first crime.
