Video games not only helped with personal reasoning such as Maximilian Dichtl stating "Depression led me to my love of video games", (qtd. in Sampson) but it was also proven to help with students who may have high anxiety due to autism. A journal article written by Wijnhoven, Creemers, Engels, and Granic states that anxiety is one of the reasons behind the "asocial" behaviors of many children with autism (2). During one study, autism patients were tested by letting children play a game called Mindlight. The results were stated: “It is predicted that children in the experimental condition will show lower levels of anxiety symptoms at the 3-month follow-up, compared to children in the control condition. If Mindlight proves effective, it could make a significant contribution to the evidence-based treatment of anxiety in children with ASD(8).” The video game has helped many children with autism lower their anxiety, which in turn helps students concentrate
