One of the readings, Putting It All Together, provided an informative description of how important it is to implement ABA/BV in the natural environment during therapy sessions and the role parents play in their child's progress. It is recommended that parents attend at least an hour of their child's daily therapy sessions so that they can see where the child is at in his or her overall functioning and understand what types of elements and activities the child considers reinforcing so they can then teach their child throughout the day by applying error correction procedures and preventing problematic behaviors from being reinforced.
