Egypt, located in North Africa, has so much to offer and that we can learn from. Its history is very ancient and interesting. Most of Egypt's ancient history can be obtained by reading the Bible and dates back to 400 BC. Their first writings called hieroglyphs were even fake. There are many natural resources in Egypt, such as the Nile River, papyrus and the many animals that live there. The Egyptians had many panting people in the tombs. They also had many musicians and dancers performing at the parties. Egypt has a lot of interesting history for us along with many fascinating natural and cultural resources. The history of Egypt dates back to 400 BC In the history of Egypt, they built very tall buildings called pyramids where they buried their kings who were called pharaohs. In Egypt there are different time periods that have different names. The Pre-Dinatic period dates back to c. 5000-3100 BC and follows the Archaic period which dates back to c. 3100-2686 BC Then comes the Old Kingdom period from c. 2686-2181 BC The Old Kingdom dates back to the period when the Egyptians built the pyramids. The Great Pyramid has more than 2 million stone blocks. The First Intermediate Period comes after from c. 2181-255 BC Then is the Middle Kingdom period from c. 2055-1786 BC Then comes the Second Intermediate Period which runs from c. 1786-1567 BC Then the New Kingdom period from c. 1567-1085 BC The Third Intermediate Period dates back to approximately 1085-664 BC. The last period is the Late Period which dates back to approximately 1567-1085 BC. 664-332 BC There were many wars and invasions in history. An invasion into Egypt was recorded in 324 AD when the Romans conquered Egypt. The Romans also pushed the Egyptians to convert to Christianity.
