Painters paint what they feel. Whether it's that specific moment or how they've felt over the past five years, an artist's work is always about how they feel. That's why anyone can tell everything they need to know about Krasner and Pollock's relationship just by looking at their artwork. One of the reasons I chose them is because I heard a joke about Jackson Pollock on my favorite TV show, Archer. Another reason is that one of his paintings, “One: Number 31,” seems to me like “The Fall of Satan” from the Vatican. The main reason I chose this couple is that their mutual attractiveness matches, making for a pleasing photo. Although Jackson and Lee's relationship was charming on the surface, it was unstable. The nature of this may have helped Pollock's work elevate, but it certainly affected Krasner's work negatively. On January 28, 1912, Paul Jackson Pollock was born in Cody, Wyoming. He was the youngest of five brothers and became interested in art after his older brother, Charles Pollock. He later enrolled at Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, first making sculptures and then painting. After being expelled for starting fights, he moved to New York and followed Thomas Hart Benton, attending the Art Students League. Benton's family took Jackson under their wing. But after his father's sudden death, Pollock became depressed. This led to excessive drinking and the threat of Charles' wife with an ax which she threw at one of Charles' paintings scheduled for an upcoming exhibition. He was then expelled and the Great Depression began. During the Great Depression, Franklin D.
