“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1; 1, King James Version). The word of God is omnipotent when it speaks, things happen, one word from our master and mountains move. The birth of Jesus was a prophecy that came true, so this makes me understand that it was foreseen as an act of love on the part of our Lord and Savior. Jesus giving himself to save the soul and the sins of man demonstrates an unconditional love to which no one can compare. God's purpose impacts my worldview because of the lessons He taught, the miracles He performed, and the death and resurrection He faced. The book of Matthew in the Bible tells of the numerous injuries taught to the disciples of Jesus. These lessons were then passed on to the followers of Jesus Christ, they were taught many lessons for daily life. Jesus gives some basic rules to follow, one that sticks with me is “11 Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 11-12, King James Version). This lesson sticks with me because knowing that even if people mistreat me or talk about me, I can hold my head high because my heavenly Father will comfort me with his love and grace. Lessons in the Book of Luke (15-31, King James Version) Jesus uses stories to explain how people may fall away, but how we as Christians should bring them back or welcome them back. Today's society forgets these lessons and sees its peers as nuisances like back then. Therefore Jesus had to perform miracles for people to see what he said was real. Jesus works...... center of paper ......they love like Jesus did. This brings me to the last point about what this lesson has taught me. This taught me to become the person I am today, following in the footsteps of our saviors taught me to never give up. When things seem to be at their worst it is Jesus who carries the burden for me. Today's culture takes advantage of the love that Jesus has to offer, selfishness seems to be the normal act of today's society. My Christian worldview helps the personal decisions I make regarding my family and career. I remember to treat others as I want to be treated (Luke 6:31, King James Version) even when others treat me poorly. My purpose is to show others how great God is and witness the miracles He has performed for me. God's purpose influences my thinking because of the instructions He has given, the miracles He has performed, and the death and revival He has contributed to
