People trust their doctors to know how to diagnose what is wrong with them using diagnostic skills that include patient interviews, medical tests, and physical observation. We have become accustomed to the mentality that there is a pill to solve what makes us feel bad. Doctors in the United States of America spend much less than 20 minutes for each patient, and this time most people would never think to ask the doctor if there is more than one way to cure their illness. In fact, most people don't ask their doctor any questions. They believe that the doctor was interested deep down and take his word with blind faith. Lately it has come to light in the world media that the best can be a very dangerous precedent, in fact it can cost you your life. Is a cure killing you? Your doctor never told you that your meds were worse for you than the disease, but now he's telling you that the side effects of your meds killed you. When people go to a doctor they expect to receive help for their physical ailments. You are given a prescription that you go to fill at the pharmacy in the hope that the drug will make you feel better. In some cases medications are prescribed when alternative medicine might not only do the job but be safer for the patient. Inside most packages all pharmacy prescription medications have product instructions and disclaimers; these instructions include a list of prescriptions that conflict with the drug, side effects of the drug itself, allergic reactions, telephone numbers to call if the drugs have harmful effects, emergency methods to prevent death, and information about the statistics included in drug tests and chemical analyses.
