Today I can attend a white school equally without segregation. I think Oliver Brown assumed that if he won the case, his son wouldn't have to walk six blocks, but more importantly, these kids are our future. If we install in their heads at a young age that the color of your skin does not define you or segregate you, perhaps centuries from now people will accept. The case Brown v. Supreme Court Education has enabled most if not all racism. I believe it is true to think that instilling in the minds of young, impressionable children that the color of your skin does not make you who you are will be installed in generations after us. This case made history not only for blacks, whites, but especially for me. It ensured that a black boy named Jamey Coates had the opportunity to attend a non-racist, equal school over fifty years later. My school had a few weeds in the yard, but for the most part it wasn't as racist as the old days. Most people today don't judge based on the color of your skin, but based on the kindness of yours
