To achieve this goal, I will seek constructive feedback from my administrators and coaches. I welcome classroom observations as a time to refine my techniques and practices. I will also continue CPD by reading professional texts and attending workshops. Implementing research-based techniques during teaching would be critical to increasing student achievement. One way to address these skills would be during guided reading and guided math groups. During these times, groups are smaller and more intimate. I will evaluate my student's progress weekly using assessments, classroom observations, and performance tasks at the end of the unit to guide my instruction. I will also create a monthly incentive for participation. If the other teachers in the class agree, we could organize a competition between classes, where the class that has the highest attendance each month receives a reward. Example: a popcorn or pizza party. I will also reach out to my students' parents so that they are aware of school expectations in a creative way. I plan to create a classroom Facebook account where I can post information about the class. I also have a text system that sends reminders to parents.
