"Americans still oppose lowering the drinking age." Briefing on the Gallup poll. (July 24, 2014). Network. February 19, 2016. The article provides the perspective of those who wish to keep the legal drinking age at 21. It is stated that nearly 75% of Americans still oppose lowering the drinking age. They believe that the higher age has reduced drinking and driving accidents. Furthermore, the belief is affirmed that, having been in force for thirty years, it should be left unchanged. The articles also provide statistics based on the specific classes of Americans who are for or against the issue. The purpose of the article is to show readers the benefits of keeping the drinking age the same. It was published on a website used to report new and political issues, thus allowing it to attract the attention of many people. It is unique in the sense that it provides surveys and information on the specific types of people interviewed. This article helps me with my thesis because it gives me the perspective of people who disagree with it, therefore allowing me to show both sides of the issue
