This is my most cherished paper because after writing it, I finally started believing in my writing skills. My confidence blossomed after this essay and I stopped doubting my writing style. In this article I applied all the techniques I learned in English 1301, including organization, images, and finding a personal message. My research paper is another example of my work demonstrating improvement in my writing. My goal was to use facts and support to shock readers about the dangers of texting while driving. One way to achieve this shock factor was to compare drinking and driving to texting while driving, "texting while driving is comparable to having the same handicap as drinking three beers" (Arias ). I also learned a great deal about the correct way to cite many different resources when writing. In my research paper, I successfully cited a video along with many types of sources to support my thesis. These documents illustrated how far my writing has come since the beginning of
