What do you really know about the lifestyles of the aging population? What do you know about aging and its effects? There are more myths about older adults than about any other stage in people's lives. Aging in America is a success story for public health policy and socioeconomic development and, as a society, forces us to maximize the health and functional capacity of the aging American. A portion of Americans age 65 and older will make up 13% of the U.S. population and is expected to increase to 20% in less than 25 years by 2050. A number of aging Americans are living longer and staying longer and longer. active and for the good health of the elderly it guarantees independence. Millions of aging Americans struggle daily with health problems, physical changes and psychological issues that can impact their quality of life. Effects of Aging As you age, so does your body, the aging process affects you more than it might seem. The aging process will affect many different parts of your body, physically, internally and externally. The immune system, bones, joints, muscles, eyes, ears, organs and brain are all affected by the aging process. These elements are affected differently and although they all occur for different reasons, some are research that helps you deal with different problems.
