Topic > Essay on the Classical Ideal - 1160

Greek civilization developed the concept of human supremacy and responsibility into a worldview. In particular, the classical ideal began from 500 BC to 399 BC of Golden Age Athens and created the upper class of art, architecture and philosophy of ancient Athens. Classical is the creativity of the Greeks that combined the resources, the period of peace and the ideal based on Greek culture. These classical ideals showed the different world of art, architecture, philosophy, and used inherent abilities to create a beautiful mind and a beautiful body. First, the classical ideas of Greek architecture included the Doric order, the Ionic order, and the Corinthian order. The structures are based on 3 main divisions which are the stepped platform, the column and the entablature. The stepped platform can be the stereobate and the stylobate, the column contained the Doric, the shaft, the flutes, the capital, the echinus and the abacus, the entablature includes all the horizontal elements that rest on the columns. Another thing that differs from the classical ideal is the architrave, that is, the stone placed above the capital, and the frieze of metope triglyphs. In the period of the Golden Age of Athens, architectures were always identical to the classical ideal, because Athenians believed that the classical ideal was spiritual and could protect them from natural disasters such as storms, floods or earthquakes. This classical ideal pursuit of excellence and perfection is demonstrated in architecture, there are many extraordinary architectures such as the Parthenon temple, the Erechtheion and the temple of Apollo at Bassae. Beyond that, Golden Age Athens developed the stoa. As an example of architecture, the Parthenon temple was the great...... middle of paper......d that everything was based on perception which is rationalism. He is a student of Plato, so his philosophy has in common with Plato. Finally, the Greek classical period left many amazing things that showed the powerful independent civilization and unique styles of art, architecture and philosophy. In a short time, Greek artists explored a succession of new ideas to produce a body of work in every medium, from ceramics to painting, sculpture, and architecture, that shows a clear stylistic and technical direction toward representing the visual world as we see it. As for philosophy, the Greeks gave many philosophies that modern people still use such as democracy in the United States. I think this civilization was very rich and intelligent. They are the ancestors of people who created many impressive and intellectual things.
