According to McNeal, what you receive is a distinctly different message; he wrote that one would know this when called to spiritual leadership. What He placed in my heart was for obedience and servanthood. Unfortunately, the lure of this world has led me down a broad path, which has distorted my worldview, creating confusion that has taken me away from God's call to life. Worldview. Jesus proclaimed himself “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6), the word of God is our worldview, (The Word of the Cross, n.d.) a view that Christians should hold to while I am on this earth. The Bible teaches how to manage money, morality from politics to love. Many who support Christianity have never opened the Bible to see that it contains more than just ideas or scriptures taught in church, but a worldview that Christians can live by. Identity. Energy, invested in the Word, steals time to spend with oneself. Lives are so fast paced, electronics are always somewhere in the background filling the void, if we don't stay silent then how can we hear God speaking to us?
