The main characters in one story all have very similar characteristics to the main characters in other stories. The main characters of Macbeth and Tempest are both faced with similar dilemmas that they resolve in similar ways, but each has their own unique way of dealing with them. Prospero and Macbeth are both trying to proclaim their power as leaders, or kings, and each of them must figure out whether they should do so and how they should solve the problem. Macbeth and Prospero are both very important characters in the Macbeth and Tempest texts and they share, but also differ, in some qualities and traits. Macbeth is a character who is easily persuaded by the people around him throughout the text Macbeth. Like many of Shakespeare's characters, he has some importance in the community. Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's many tragedies, all similar in some ways. “It was in William Shakespeare's later period, after 1600, that he wrote the tragedies Hamlet, King Lear, Othello and Macbeth. In these, Shakespeare's characters present vivid impressions of human temperament that are timeless and universal. (Jeet) His tragedies are all based on at least one person basically ruining everything. Macbeth is this character, yet he doesn't think of everything himself. “Lady Macbeth is Shakespeare's most wicked female creation.” (Mabillard) Lady Macbeth is the one who finally convinces Macbeth to carry out his plan. Macbeth cares a lot about his wife, which is one of his characteristics, which is usually a good thing except in this play. Because he loves and believes her so much, she listens to his ideas about what should be done and he sort of obeys her. “He who is coming/Must be provided for: and you… middle of paper… power is what makes people kill just as it happened in these two stories, and in many other Shakespeare stories and plays.
