Controversy surrounds almost every topic and has existed for centuries. Controversial topics usually involve different types of people having two opposing views on a certain topic or idea. The widespread expansion of technology has allowed people around the world to discuss certain topics that they believe they have a correct understanding of. It's no surprise that the effect of video games on the human brain has been controversial since video games were first released decades ago. Video games involve the use of the body and mind, which means that the player is "inside" the game and can see the world through the eyes of the character he plays. Some psychologists and other scientists suggest that violent video games can cause psychological disorders that can lead players to engage in violent behavior in real life. On the other hand, there have also been studies that suggest that violence in video games does not affect the brain in this way. People of both points of view raise good arguments to support their claim and really question our understanding of video games and the impact they have on our brains. These scientists have been conducting experiments for the past twenty years, but they still don't have an answer as to what the underlying cause of real-life child and young adult violence as a result of playing violent video games is, or whether it is true at all. Unfortunately, many of the people reading this point the finger at others to see who is responsible for leading children to violent video games.
