I opened the roof door of my apartment on a relaxing Sunday morning. Lying on a lounger, without goals or impulses, I started thinking about how we understand the world through different senses and decided to experience the environment on my own. The first thing I did, as all ordinary people would do, was observe my surroundings with my own eyes. Starting with distant things, I saw clouds blocking the terrifying California sun in the blue sky, the horizon stretching topped with a layer of white smoke, and some tall mansions standing along Wilshire Blvd. As I got closer to my focus, I could see only tall trees and the roof of other buildings, as my apartment was 6 stories tall and located on one of the hills along Strathmore Dr. As for the things next to me, the most noticeable object was the black steel fence which marked the boundary of the roof; there were also some decorative plants and sunbeds.
