Bad behavioral habits begin to take their toll on people as they begin to become older adults. Older adults have often built regimes throughout their lives. This means that, as a future exercise scientist, if this regimen does not contain physical activity, it will be very difficult for me to try to convince them to participate. Often older people do not accept advice from younger people because they believe they have more knowledge and experience. In some cultures it is often considered disrespectful for young people to give advice to older people. With Australia's multicultural base, it might be difficult if you were to face a senior citizen who follows this culture.
