Topic > Reading: An Analysis of E-Books Vs. E-Books - 1057

E-books have a restriction mainly due to copyright issues and there is not an e-book for every printed book. Not all publishers produce e-book editions. Most e-books cannot be fully viewed until purchased. Paper books, on the other hand, are always available over e-books due to copyright, international legalities, publisher decisions, and consumer preference or need to own certain titles in paper or other formats. formats. Most books can be used freely in stores before being purchased. Paper books can be borrowed from libraries, shared between people, and even between libraries. Since paper books can be shared, a person can purchase a book and can use that book they purchased to read as many books as they want. The e-book cannot be photocopied, sent or exchanged with anyone due to all these copyright laws. Every time I buy an e-book, the only person who can use it is me, which means I have to buy a book every time I want to read a new one, unless it's free. In my opinion, paper books are better than e-books in terms of availability. Both e-books and paper books have their advantages and disadvantages, but the choice between paper books and e-books is not a zero-sum game. Paperbacks don't have to disappear for e-books to thrive, and e-books don't have to be the only choice. Printed books are for people who love printed books. Digital books are for those who love digital books. All in all, consumers decide what they want and the purpose they want it to serve, but as someone who likes both e-book and paperback, I prefer to use them in different places where they both serve.
