But not above all else. If continuing education was your path, then take it. If you decided to work right after high school and were happy, then it was accepted. If you lived rightly and followed the Lord, that was accepted in our culture, not how much money you made. I am the first in my family to have an early graduation date. Some members of my other family started, but never finished. I didn't know what I wanted to do when I started college, but I loved photography. I started at Kennesaw State and looked forward to going to school every week in the big city. The first day I hated it. I hated that I was supposed to major in art because photography wasn't popular at the time. I didn't like the concepts the art program taught either, and I knew I didn't want to go to a liberal school. It was too late for the transfer. In looking for new schools, I didn't know where to go, but I knew I wanted a conservative school. One who doesn't try to force liberal ideas down my throat. I never wanted to go to North Georgia because I said on trips to Dahlonega that I would never go to school in the mountains. It seemed so secluded and boring, but now I longed for a place like this. A small, safe place, like my hometown of Ellijay. UNG suddenly seemed like the right decision based on my research. After looking into the school and what was allowed and what wasn't allowed, I loved it. I
