Lord of the Flies was written by a British author in 1954. The book is about a group of British school kids who crash into a island and having to survive. During their time on the island they turn their backs on civilization and become savages. Ralph is the elected leader and always thinks civilly. Jack leaves the group and starts a tribe with the boys and is a savage. Piggy is a knowable guy. Simon is compared to Jesus throughout the book and is the only naturally “good” character. The little ones are the youngest children on the island. Roger is an older, cruel boy who is Jack's lieutenant. The Samnerics are twins who are close to Ralph but are later manipulated by Jack. In the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding some characters represent the id, the ego and the superego. Id, Ego and Superego are the three parts of the psychic apparatus expressed by Sigmund Freud's structural model of the psyche.
