Topic > Injustice in Plato's Republic - 1556

Art departs from the truth by having strayed from the truth three times, providing immoral guidelines and suggestions for individuals and portraying the Gods in a negative light. These implications can have a disastrous effect on society and lead to the moral injustice of an ideal state if such art is introduced into the state. On the contrary, there is an art that can be admitted to ideal status if such art teaches and positively influences the moral compass of citizens and leads to rational thoughts and suggestions. Finally, art can only lead to a just society if it leads to exponential rational processes in the soul of an individual and must be kept out of the ideal state if art imitates or attempts to influence only the emotional side of the individual.
