Although my field experience was not in a classroom, I was still able to interpret my experiences and relate them to a potential classroom setting. For example, despite the stable program, the camp seemed devoid of structure. The instant I entered the facility, chaos prevailed and the camp directors showed little control over the children. It became clear that the leader was not seen as an authority figure by the “campers”. To prevent this from happening to me in class, boundaries and guidelines would initially be established and coordinated punishments would be carried out. At a summer camp, no one wants to be “the bad guy” because the kids are there to have fun and stay occupied. Because of this fear and the calm nature of the group's leader, he had no concept of class
