Antigone is the perfect tragic hero. She is already cursed by her royal bloodline and it's not her fault. Antigone will not sit back and let her brother's body be disrespected. Antigone's pride in her family is what led to her downfall. He doesn't take no for an answer, even going against Kreon, the king. Antigone ultimately sacrifices everything, even her life, because she is stubborn. Let his pride and self-confidence prevail over rational thinking. He had no self-preservation for his life. The reader gets the feeling that Antigone did the right thing. She is sentenced to death and takes her own life because she does not want to give Kreon any satisfaction. He ended his life on his terms, not Kreon's. King Kreon was losing everything that gave meaning to his life. Kreon was left with nothing because he wanted to be rebellious and wanted to have his way no matter what
