Since the beginning of time, humans have found ways to communicate with each other through smoke signals, drawings, and hand gestures. These forms of communication were replaced when humans created the ability to communicate with sound (languages). The creation of what is known as language gave humans a much easier way to communicate with each other. Over time humans have evolved towards much greater unthinkable expectations. Technology is one of the evolutions that have brought a positive impact on the human race and its languages. With the creation of technology and its ability to give people a different and much easier way to communicate, it has also created a different world, known as the cyber world. Technology has created a much more positive and easier way of teaching language. Although technology has created many positive changes in our language, we still encounter many negative aspects of technology's impact on language. (The central request explains) Even though the world is a sphere and its land is separated by enormous amounts of water, languages have been transmitted across this space. Technology has influenced the mobilization of a language at a very rapid pace. It gave humans the ability to expand language to the horizon where it was unable to reach in the past. Before technology people would have had to depend on expensive books or a traveler to learn another language. With newer technology this has helped languages expand into areas where it was difficult to know or learn another language. A perfect example would be the Dominican Republic; people in universities are learning at least one or two different languages and have no problem doing so. When required, lessons have fun and learn culture...... middle of paper ...... like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and even Hi5 can be used to communicate with your friends, family, parents or friends long lost, but helps us adapt to some improper ways of using language. We find that when having a conversation with friends it's okay to use abbreviations instead of the way we would write a sentence to keep it simple and get to the point. Jennifer Lee in the article “I think, therefore IM” provided a perfect example of how some of the forms we use to write expressions such as '”nm” (never mind), “jk” (just kidding), “lol” (laughing out loud), “brb” (I'll be right back) and “ttyl” (talk to you later)” are considered as standard as conventional English”. The abbreviations explained by Jennifer Lee are perfect examples of how we minimize our words to shorten a sentence while on sites or even in instant messaging
