I can't say much about how he acts as a project manager within the March of Dimes organization, but when it came to taking on the role of project manager directing an intern it was quite inactive. Throughout my internship the tasks were often not clearly defined. I was given rather menial tasks with very little instruction on how to complete them and I sometimes felt lost and like I didn't want to bother my supervisor. It seemed that Ms. Benanti never had a set project plan in mind, and her choice to "give it her all" left many gaps throughout the experience. Ms. Benanti had known for about a month that I would be interning for the organization and was unable to organize anything for me. He made it clear that I was starting at a busy time for the organization, and I tried to understand that, but the frenzy of what was happening in my supervisors' work took almost all of his attention away from me and what I needed to accomplish. . My supervisor created no sense of control over me as an intern and for the most part left me to my own devices. My superiors have become for me an example of what a project manager should not be, at least in the sense of managing a project
